The story
Tom and I were already working together on his Dutch channel when he told me he was finally going to make his dream video: surviving five days alone in the Amazon rainforest with no supplies.
We looked at successful videos in this niche, went back and forth on different concepts, and eventually settled on two thumbnails we really believed in.
At first, the video barely got any views. We started wondering if we were crazy, but instead of immediately changing the packaging, we decided to give it some more time. A week later, it started taking off.
Today, our first video together on his English channel has over 2.6 million views and is still growing.
The challenge
Explain what was holding the channel back. Add the audience insight, packaging problem, or creative opportunity you identified.
The approach
Instead of rushing to make new thumbnails, we stuck with our original concepts and let the video run.
About a week after uploading, something changed. The views started climbing. First 100K, then 200K, and eventually 1 million views.
For our first collaboration on Tom's English channel, that was a huge milestone.
And it didn't stop there. The video has since passed 2.5 million views and is still growing.
